Become a "Woman of Worth"
"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." Proverbs 31:10
The Women's Ministry is an important ministry at Etowah Baptist Church. We are here to be Sisters in Christ, to love, support, pray for and encourage one another. It is important that we have other fellow believers to "lean on" in times of crisis and need. We need to be there for each other. Will you join us?
There are various ways for you to get involved in the Women's Ministry:
1) Secret Sisters
We use this opportunity to secretly encourage another "sister" with cards, gifts and our prayers, for one year. Every year we have a "Secret Sisters' Reveal" event where we choose a name and then later, reveal our identities to our secret sisters. It is a great way to meet some new ladies and encourage someone else.
2) Lifestyle Missions
The age range in this group varies from 30's through 70's. They gather every third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
3) Margaret's Missions
The age range in this group are 50's-70's. They meet each month, typically one day during the week at 10:30 a.m.
(For more information about the above events please call the church office at 828-891-7153
or email at office@etowahbaptistchurch.org) 4) Round Table Book Discussion
Ladies are invited to join this group which meets on the third Monday evening of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the church library. We choose a different book to read and discuss every month. Please call the church office to find out this month's book!
5) Women's Discipleship Groups
Currently we have two groups for ladies to check out. Just visit our "Discipleship Groups" link and click on "Discovery Groups" to find out more information
6) WMU Women's Missionary Union leads our ladies to opportunities to be missionaries here in our community. From missions education to missions participation, ladies are invited to come and participate in being Christ's hands and feet
Click here to be directed to our State Convention's Women's Ministry Site: "Embrace"
7) Food Groups
Food is prepared and delivered to the home of a member who has had a death in the immediate family. There are four groups who rotate in preparing and serving the food.
